Alfredo's Bar: Alfredo's Bar
I definetely recommend Alfredo's in Merida. It's nice place with world's possibly cheapest beer (20c during happy hour). You can have a meal here as well. A place is packed with locals and the atmosphere is superb. If you're up to moving your hips a bit just across the street there's a nice place (don't recall the name) where we ended up after Alfredo was closed.

Cafe Calypso: Chill & dance with great mixed drinks
The atmosphere at Cafe Calypso, in centro, is excellent. On weekend nights, the dancing is also good. The mixed drinks are some of the best in Merida.

Every street corner throughout Merida: Street Meat
After many hours of salsa dancing, you're bound to be hungry and the Venezuelans understand this. So after the sun goes down, just about every street corner in Merida is taken by a "pepito" stand selling large greasy sandwiches filled with meat, cheese, egg, veggies, french fries and just about every kind of condiment you can imagine. All for less than $1. You eat of plastic picnic tables that are covered with platic bottles of MORE condiments. Warning: avoid the bright blue condiment labled "Queso" or you'll be sorry.
