On the way back to Pto La Cruz we stayed at a beautiful beach called Playa Blanca. Superb snorkeling place, it’s a small bay with shallow water and a beautiful coral. When swimming out of the bay the sea bottom goes like a steep wall into the depths. I think I broke a record in turning en swimming back to where I could see the sea bottom. Very intriguing!

Another fun thing to do is fishing at piranha’s, instead of the normal bait you use a piece of meat. As soon as you feel something pulling you have to pull it out of the water. The little beast sticks to the meat just by biting and refusing to let it go. I was lucky to catch a piranha. Their very little and look harmless, but check its teeth!

TIP!
On the beach there is a small restaurant where you can eat the fish you just saw while snorkeling. Delicious!
Warning!
There is a toilet behind the restaurant, do not go in there or even come close! As this is a neat site I won’t describe the situation.
