It the green emerald from the Orriente of Venezuela……..A Beautiful combination of forest and beach, lot of attraction (snorkeling, diving, etc)

Can be a long ride from Caracas 5 to 7 hours drive

The city Merida, located in a height of 1.625 meters and surrounded by four rivers: el Mucujún, el Milla, el Albarregas y el Chama,, seated on the foot of the imposing Sierra Nevada, conformed by five great Tips El Toro, El León, El Humboldt, El Bonpland and the greater one of all, the Tico Bolibar. With a temperature average of 19 C degrees.

The city of Merida concentrates a variety of landscapes that distinguish it between all the cities of Venezuela, Also stand out by the kindness and good treatment of its people to many places to visit.

To the north of the city the Ávila is the majestic Mountain, which separates the city of the sea, which you can visit by cableway or in brief excursions walking. Caracas is characterized being a gastronomic center and of nocturnal life. Here you found an immense amount of restaurants, with the most varied national and international gastronomy, and a great amount of relaxation sites and nocturnal diversion

Cayo sombrero

The main attraction is the beaches and los cayos (Small Island, keys), it has a great variety to select were to go all are spectacular and have they own beauty, like Cayo Sombrero (the most popular), Cayo Pelon, Cayo Boracho, Cayo Sal, Mallorquina, Pescadores and other, They are the perfect place to rest or to get a nice suntan. Some of these keys are very small and doesn't have any facilities. You must bring your drinks and food.

La cascada

Very nice town that have a lot of properties around to visit and relax, the climate is wonderful and the people is very nice. Some properties that I visit and I will recommend are Posada LA CALSETA, posada MOCUNDO, La concepción, Posada de HENRY.

Dessert dune

Great place to get lost, the dunes are by the road to Peninsula de Paraguana. There are no parking facilities or tourists. Careful when parking because it is very easy to stuck the car in the sand. Just get off the road, climb the first dune and walk around....

Located on the eastern of the Estado Falcon, it covers an area of 32.000 ha. The park is covered by mangroves, bounty beaches, coral reefs and a calm sea will invite you to many recreational activities such as snorkeling and sailing - or just to do nothing but lazy.
Many islands can be visited by boat only.
Tip : Cayo Sombrero is maybe the most popular, but my experience - it is the worst and overcrowded by tourist.
