A Dump But Budget Options are Few

Bad (2.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on December 2, 2005

Mumbai is an expensive city. Our room here was expensive for Indian standards and was really not that nice. It was very damp and hot with bad ventilation in the hallway.
Cramped share bathrooms with squat toilets
Hot water upon request
Cable TV
Ceiling fan
Some views of the harbor
Staff helpful but not overly friendly
600 rupees for a double

Directions: 1/29, Kamal Mansion 2nd floor, Haji Niyaz Ahmed Azmi Marg, (Aurther Bunder Road), Near Radio Club, Colaba, Mumbai ? 400 005

Cheap with View

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on March 19, 2004

One of three hotels in the Kamal Mansion building at the begining of Arthur Bunder Road. Stayed here for about a week and it is fine if you are looking for a cheap (pretty clean) room.

Unique Quality: Rooms have television and 1/2 have views of the bay. Toilet and sink down the hall. Daily laundry service available.

Double: around 500 Rupees
Single: double for singe use 400 to 500
Single: (very small) 350 to 400

Directions: 1/29 Kamal Mansion
2nd Floore - Haji Niyaz Ahmed
Azmi Marg. - Artheu Bunder Road
(Near Radio CLub)
