Tip Top hotel: Tip Top hotel, Dumaguete

Tip Top is a less expensive hotel in Dumaguete city. For a price of Php900, you can get to stay in an aircon room with two bed and TV with cable. The shower is also great since they have hot and cold. The staffs are nice. You can even roam in the city at night since a security guard is at post at the door. There is also a free water dispenser for all visitors of the hotel.

Cheap and nice!

budget Hotel: Checked Inn

I stayed here for a couple of days in November 2008; it was pleasant, central and comfortable. There was a ground floor dining area, which provided reasonable food. All this was at a reasonable price, and internet access, (fee payable), was by reception

Thalatta Beach Resort: Paradise

We stayed at Thalatta Beach Resort for 3 nights during Christmas 2009. We had visited the web site and read the reviews, and it was everything the owners promised. Their vision of 'Paradise, Perfection and Purity' has been realised with this resort. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was well furnished, well decorated and had a nice sized bathroom and was very clean. We also had a well stocked mini bar . The gardens were beautiful, the setting opposite Apo Island was great and the swimming pool was lovely. The restaurant served very good food cooked by their Swiss chef. The staff were so helpful and were always smiling. Patrick, the owner gave us good advice and nothing was too much trouble. Internet facilities were provided free of charge, and there were lots of trips available at good rates. We had our Christmas meal there and it was a wonderful buffet. Patrick and his wife even gave little gifts for each table and it's this attention to detail that makes the place special. There is a well equiped dive shop on site, and snorkeling equipement and boats are also available to hire.

The setting opposite Apo Island is great
The swimming pool with small cascade was lovely
Beautiful, well maintained gardens
Helpful friendly owners and staff
Good food

Thalatta Resort: Do not miss

We decided to book in this resort after visiting their website: www.thalattaresort.com

The resort, garden, diveshop, etc were really as showed on the site, I should say that it is even better than the virtual view.

What more can I say: very clean place, good restaurant, well organize diveshop using only new gears, nice rooms, peaceful place.

- Big Sea Water swimming Pool
- Comfortable & clean rooms
- Good 5 stars Diveshop
- Closer resort to Apo Island
- One of the best restaurant around Dumaguete

Thalatta Beach resort: A step to paradise

Thalatta Beach Resort is located in Maluay Zamboanguita, 20 km south of Dumaguete. We had the center view of the famous Apo Island; we were near Malatapay pier and market.

We were welcome and the service was great in this captivating paradise built on the seaside. Good staff

Thalatta restaurant assures the appreciation in International and Filipino, the best one I visited in the Philippines. Don't miss it.

The room were nice with a beautiful bathroom built in a pocket garden. The buildings are not compact, a lot of privacy, really a place to get a good rest. I was sleeping so good there.
