the worst hotel to ho chi minh city!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible (1.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on August 10, 2011

I ve never saw a hotel bad like this. When we are arrive to the reception we decided to choose a room in this hotel. The room was at 4 floor without escalator. Tired the first thing who affraid us is the corridor. Why? Because we can see everything inside all the room!!! There are windows with drapes dirty and transparant. Horrible!!!!When we choose a hotel we liked have intimity, but for this hotel everybody can see what did we make inside.
The cover was dirty and the shower broken.
But the worst in this hotel was maybe the person of the reception. A woman 40 years old who make us paid and don't accept to give us passport in back because after 5 minutes we wanted run aways of this hotel. SCANDAL!!!

You must avoid this hotel for our travel to saigon!!!!!!

Excellent Budget Hotel - Clean and friendly!

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on September 28, 2010

Clean hotel with five floors. I always get a room with windows, either at the front or back. The pictures room is $18 with two beds (2012 prices). It is a long way up the stairs, so it is an advantage to stay on one of the lower floors. The inexpensive (most or all without windows) are $13 per night.

Unique Quality: I have spent well over 500 nights in Vietnamese Hotels, and this is the second one I recommend. The hotel is always very clean (it is the only budget hotel in Vietnam where I do not get black feet!), the staff speaks English and is helpful. The owner, Mr. Tan, is cheerful. He speaks very good English and French.

The hotel sits smack in the tourist area, something I appreciate after spending extended periods in more remote areas.

The taxi from the airport should be just over 100,000 VND (about $6) and the drivers always know the address. To avoid being overcharged, take a Vinasun Taxi from the upper level of the international terminal toward the right. If you arrive at the domestic terminal, the stand is outside to the left. Wait till you can take a Mai Linh or a Vinasun taxi, these are both companies that seemingly never cheat.

Directions: The taxi from the airport should be just over 100,000 VND (about $6) and they know the address.
