Best budget hotel in HCMC US$17 (twin incl brkft)

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on June 5, 2007

It was an amazing stay at Huynh Anh Hotel where staff speak great English, polite and helpful. We were considering to stay in a guesthouse in HCMC but we were quoted $12 for a very basic room that we didn't like in many of these places (compared to the price and quality we paid in other parts of Vietnam for $12). We didn't regret staying in Huynh Anh though some might consider it pricey in HCMC but the service, clean room more than convinced us that we made a right choice. We paid $17 for a double room, with aircon, tv, fridge, hot shower and great bed of cos.

Unique Quality: There is a rooftop cafe that is opened from 7am to 12 midnight, where there are two computers for free Internet access. Nice and clean and great atmosphere. Very relaxing.

Huynh Anh Hotel

Good (3.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on December 20, 2005

Price : Rooms offered are between 15-30$ (I took the 15$). Some rooms have bigger shower-room than others for the same price, so if you see it`s too small for you - they have others. Price includes a simple breakfast.

Includes : A clean room with a big bed, Aircon, Fridge, hot shower, cable TV (HBO, Starworld etc.), elevator. All hotels offer booking and laundry services, but I`ve found it a LOT cheaper and better outside. Prices may vary depending on season.

Location : on Do Quang st. which is quiet compared to Pham Ngo Lao/De Tham/Bui Vien streets.
