Welcome Inn Motel – Bunbury: affordable

OK I'm a cheap skate at heart and hate parting with my hard earned money. In researching our one nights stay in Bunbury I found the Welcome Inn had all we wanted and at a very reasonable $100 for a Standard Ocean Front unit.

When we arrived the room was ready and so we checked in and found all to our needs - well appointed unit although a little old it had a double bed, small glass topped table and 2 chairs, TV and DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge that worked very well and off course an aircon unit which is a must for the hot weather. Then we opened the curtains and saw that we did indeed have an ocean front view. The Indian Ocean pounded away only 50 or so metres from our room and a very spectacular setting on our own balcony.

The Bunbury Welcome Inn has a licensed restaurant - we did not eat there, an outdoor swimming pool, free parking and a car wash (do it yourself) and other standards of accommodation - and then there's George the parrot who will make sure you say hello and offer his head for a scratch. I'm sure George is employed by the motel as a guest relations manager and he does a fine job too.

Glade Big 4 Caravan Park: Big 4 Caravan/Holiday Park

Excellent pool with tropical surrounds.
Cost $71 for the 3 of us (including linen hire) which was cheaper than we could get at any backpackers in town, plus we had the added advantage of having our own kitchen and cooking facilities.

This Five Star accomodation is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It has a swimming pool, a bar and gym. It is right in the centre of town and a 2 minute walk to Bunbury Centrepoint Shopping Centre. Close to local cafes and restaurants, it also captures the cool sea breeze from the Bunbry Back Beach.

Pool, Gym and Sauna with a private downstairs bar, it shows off nothing but great scenary.
