Contemporary and modern

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on November 25, 2006

The Montanus Hotel has a contemporary chic design with sleek modern lines, there are 24 rooms in a beige and white colour scheme with wooden floors. There's a lovely garden, and breakfast is served until noon.

Directions: Located in the centre of Bruges, between the Market Place and the Lake of Love.

The Montanus Hotel is located on Neuwe Gentweg. This street is on your right just after the diamond museum. The hotel is friendly and welcoming. We were lead through a beautiful courtyard past some very pretty chalets to our room which consisted of a living area, with sofa, desk, tv, cofee machine and minibar. Then wooden stairs up to a mezzanine level bedroom with huge double bed, impressive marble fireplace and luxurious bedlinen. The room was very modern, spacious and well equppied and clean. The hotel is small ( about 20rooms) serves breakfast and has a cosy bar and a salon for guests. It was quiet and relaxed and made for a wonderful stay. We soon discovered a route through small winding streets that led straight to t'Pandreijte just minutes from the main squares.

Unique Quality: Clean. quiet, spacious and relaxed. We didn't book direct with the hotel but with Hotels.com and the price was about (£56 per room, per night) so it worked out at only £23 each per night......

Directions: Near Diamond Museum and Lake of love
