by written on April 17, 2008

Hotel Prima Lepic's rates run from a 110 euros for a single up to 210 euros for a quad. Weekend rates increase to 110 euros for a single up to 250 euros for a quad. It's about a 4-minute walk to metro Blanche:

There's also Avenir Hotel Montmartre which was featured in one of the Antoine Doinel films (directed by Truffaut). Rates are 55 euros for a single up to 104 euros for a quad. It's right across the street from Anvers metro:

I stayed at a hostel near Anvers metro called Le Village Hostel. Rates run from 24 euros for a dorm (6-bed room) to 30 euros for a triple.

Hotel Regyn's Montmartre is located on Place des Abbesses, where you'll find metro Abbesses. Rates run from 60/91 euros for a standard 2-person room to 80/115 euros for a room with either a double or 2 singles:

Timhotel Montmartre sits on the beautiful, leafy Place Emile Goudeau (next door to the historic artist haunt Bateau Lavoir) and is a 2-minute walk to Abbesses metro station. It was featured in Eric Rohmer's Rendezvous in Paris:

Unique Quality: These are all hotels that are within an easy 5-minute walk to a metro station (and a few have film connections!).

Very Amelie Poulain!

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on January 22, 2007

I didn't actually stay there but I lodged about 10 of my Irish relatives last october (2006) in that hotel. The hotel itself is not expensive (for Paris) and is very... cute. If you look at their web site www.hotel-prima-lepic.com you'll get a good idea.

Unique Quality: It's in a busy part of Paris at the foot of Montmartre, very close to the Moulin Rouge in a very French part of Paris on a street full of fruit and vegetable shops, butchers, cheese shops and bakers where the locals do their "courses" (shopping for food).

Directions: Metro: Blanche or Abbesses

The nicest place to stay

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)

I have stayed here three times now. The rooms are beautiful, especially the ones that look out over the street. I have enjoyed every stay here. The breakfast is so wll catered that you can get away with skipping lunch. The bathrooms are perfectly appointed, even though the baths are tiddly (1250 length, the smallest I have ever seen, and I sell the things!) There are always fresh flowers around, from the beautiful flower shop just a few doors up. A wonderful hotel, where I would be happy to stay forever.

Au coeur de Montmartre

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on August 10, 2004

We stayed in this small hotel for a week, in October 2002. It was close to Montmartre, and just above the cafe where the movie "Amelie Poulain" (Amelie of Montmartre) was filmed.

The rooms were very small, but each one was decorated differently. What I liked about this hotel, was it's location. We were close to the Moulin Rouge, bars, restaurants, etc.

Directions: One road before the Moulin Rouge, almost on the top of the street.

Hotel Prima Lepic

by written on August 26, 2002

Double room was 350 FF in 1992, and 695 FF (2001) is now € 70-93 in 2002.

Unique Quality: It was a good hotel then, and by the look of the pics on the website it still is. Typical French hotel.

Directions: Just around the corner from the Moulin Rouge! At walking distance of Sacré Coeur and Place du Tertre.
