good quality

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on October 31, 2007

stayed here twice - once on a business trip and once with my young son when he was doing a primary school project on the Romans, and I took him to see for himself;
obviously i liked it the first time, and wasn't disappointed the second; definitely more business type place than child friendly, but the Itailans love children so all went well

Unique Quality: location - just round the corner from the Vatican

Better Than Average

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on November 29, 2006

A very nice hotel with a good restaurant, clean rooms, and a helpful staff.

I stayed in the new section of the hotel, the rooms had a large tub / shower, towel warmer, and a nice bed. My friends stayed in the older section of the hotel. Not as nice. The rooms reminded me of my college dorm days. Spartan. Clean but not posh by any stretch of the imagination.

The staff was very helpful with maps, recomendations, currency exchanges, and the hotel is a 15 minute walk to the Vatican, not bad really.

One computer with internet capabilities, but you will pay. 5EU for 30 minutes.

Unique Quality: The greatest quality of this hotel is the location. set in a quiet neighborhood, with several foreign embassies next door make this a unique place. Walking distance to the Vatican, exclusive shops, and fine dining are all with-in walking distance. Would I go back, YES.

A Classy and Reasonable Hotel

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on February 18, 2005

This hotel is tops with me. Modern, clean, 4 star, friendly staff and a daily buffet breakfast (included in the room price) that was simply delicious. The rooms were clean and spacious and the hotel was in an excellent location, a 15 minute walk from Vatican City or in the opposite direction a 10 minute walk to the Spanish steps. Two subway stops were within a 5 minute walk from the hotel also. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for reasonably priced, first rate accomodations while in Rome, Italy.

Unique Quality: Excellent service, daily buffet breakfast included in the room rate and within walking distance of many major attractions!!!
