Hotel Le Palme: A Great Hotel
We stayed for only one week. But this hotel is a good base for exploring the nort of the island. We only explored the smaragd coast - the costa smeralda. The coast of the rich and beautifull. But there is always a place for "normal" human beiings.
Great beach, beautifull rooms- the hotel is build like a ols mediterran house.

Agriturismo Ca'La Somara: A Donkey of a Place to Stay
Once a sheep and donkey farm, this converted barn Agriturismo is a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing holiday. The owners have put in a lot of love and care into the rooms which are either en-suite or shared. Don't forget to try the home cooked dinners, they reel in island locals and most nights are booked!
Great views of the mountains and the countryside. A pool is on hand, but the beaches are never far!

Cala di Volpe: Bond on the beach
We heard about this stunning 5 star hotel before we left for Sardinia, and planned to spend a night in the bar - it not only looked a great hotel but they also filmed some scenes from the Wizard of Oz here and part of "The Spy Who Loved Me" Bond movie with Roger Moore.
Fortunately we never made it to the bar - a waiter in our hotel who once worked there warned us about the cost of drinks (apparently it's not unusual to spend 25 euros on 1 drink, with wines exceeding 1000 euros a bottle). Wisely then, we decided to sneek in and have a look gratis-styleeee.
This is a fantastic hotel and worth a look, but you've got to be seriously brewstered to stay here. We dressed up one evening and asked if we could have a look round on the pretence we were thinking of staying there.
Think they rumbled us though....
I'll just get me coat
Private beach, gardens, and amazing mini marina that enables you to step out of your yacht (we had a peddle-oo)... and into the piano bar
