Good and Inexpensive Accommodation

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on July 29, 2009

This guesthouse has two locations, the main one being in the Via Faenza, a two minute walk from the train station and about a five minute walk to San Lorenzo. It is basic - no kitchen facilities and a dubious portable air conditioning unit. However, being on the ground floor, the two rooms available (I spent a weekend in each) are quite cool and I was there in the dead of summer. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The owner, Ivan, is exceptionally nice and willing to make your stay in Florence a good one. I would highly recommend this guest house. I am not in the habit of spending much on accommodation when travelling, but cleanliness is a must and regarding both points I was not disappointed.

Check hostelworld.com for pricing.

Unique Quality: This guesthouse is very close to the centre without being noisey. The owner is exceptionally welcoming.

Directions: Side exit the train station; cross both streets, go left a few steps; follow the Piazza Adua to the Via Cennini and continue in this street until the Via Faenza. Cross the street, turn left and it's a few paces on your left, number 66.
