In Walking Distance from just about everything

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on January 7, 2015

We had a private room with ensuite in Plus Florence, and there are various other types of accommodation within the hostel.

We wanted accommodation within walking distance of the Firenze Santa Maria train station which we would be arriving at, and departing from.

We found and booked the accommodation through www.booking.com

This was a very busy place, and check in was slower than usual. We were not able to check-in prior to the official check-in time, and we stored our luggage in their locked storeroom which was full to the brim with other luggage. When we returned to check-in, we were first in line for check in, and soon afterwards, a long queue of people was behind us. Even at the check in time, we were told we would need to wait another half an hour because our room was not yet ready.

Guests have free use of a fitness area, a Turkish bath and sauna. There is free Wi-Fi and internet terminals available in the lobby, but luckily the free wifi actually also worked in our room.

We were happy with the location, as it was not only in walking distance from the train station, but we were able to walk to the historic town centre of Firenze, and we also walked to the Arno River, and across the river and up to the Piazzale Michelangelo.

Directions: in walking distance from Firenze SM train station

Resort style hostel!!!

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)

If you have a hostel with indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, thats just 10 minutes walk from the city centre, do you call it a hostel or a hotel? Well Plus Florence is that good. Its actually built on an old academic building(think it was some college or something like that) and about 5-10 minutes from city centre. Rooms are pretty clean and there was even a Tv in our private double bed ensuite. Bath was also fine.
Our room had a window with some great views of the city skyline and I hear the dining area on the top floor also gave a good view of the duomo top.
Absolutely fab place with reasonable prices and peple at the reception who were ready to help and undoubtedly the best hostel I have ever been.

Unique Quality: Swinning pool was small but cool.. what else do you expect in a hostel and indoor pool.. Sauna in a hostel.. :) dont know where to stop.. this hostel is beyond expectations for anyone

The only thing I can say it's that it is brand new and very clean. Unfortunately I do not know anyone who stayed there, but at least you can have a look at the website.

Unique Quality: Facilities. There is a swimming pool and a sauna.
