An excellent budget hotel in Florence

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on February 22, 2009

I spent 4 days in hotel Rapallo in February, a very cheap budget hotel I found on the Internet.
I was very pleasantly surprised when I found a modern hotel with a comfortable well heated room and a small but practical en suite bathroom. The hotel is very centrally located, around 500 metres from the railway station.

The receptionists were very nice and helpful and the breakfast was very good.

Directions: Around 500 metres from the railway station and close to Piazza della Independenza.

Sleeping time in Florence

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on September 15, 2008

This is the hotel we stayed in our visit to Florence. Is situated in a calm area of the city and close to train station we took about 10 minutes walking with luggage, not bad. Our room was in the second floor, it was big and the bed was very confortable, and bathroom was too well with shower. Breakfast is served in the room next to reception from 7 am to 10.00 and consists in cereals, fruit, juices, bread rolls, cheese, ham, croissants, butter, jams, etc. Staff is very nice and helpful they helped us in all doubts we had. Sure if i back someday i´ll choose this hotel again.

Directions: From the main station take Via Nazionale and walk up the street. At the end of the street there is a big square Piazza dell'Indipendenza, cross the square and go straight on and you will be in V Santa Caterina d'Alessandria, where is the hotel.

Out of the very city centre

by written on October 4, 2007

This hotel is close to the railway station as well as the suburban buses station (both of them are just a few meters apart).

There are also many restaurants in the area and the staff is very helpful. They even book museums for you with no charge.

Directions: From Santa Maria Novella railway station, take Via Nazionale, keep walking and the street, after Piazza della Independenza, becomes Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria.

A small hotel with very nice and friendly staff. The deskclerck gave us a room at the backside of the hotel, so no trafficnoise....

Thanks!

Directions: North of the trainstation.
