Hostels in Krakow

Good (3.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on July 22, 2004

The accommodation was clean and comfortable.

A 15 minute walk to the market square, 20 minutes walk to the train staion, (Free transfer by bus when you arrive, 5 minutes) 20 minutes walk to Wawel Hill, 25 minute walk to Kaimerez (The Jewish District.),

Unique Quality: Nothing flash, very basic.

Directions: Hostel representatives are at the train station from 10am til 8pm. Free Shuttle to Hostel.

Cheap place to stay...

Bad (2.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on September 8, 2003

I'll recommend this place as a cheap alternative to the hotels around town. Representitives meet you at the station and bus you to the hostel - good point. It's very very cheap - when I stayed some years ago it was £4 per person per night. The rooms are basic with shared facilities.

I found it fairly noisy as the corridors echo all the voices\foot steps during the night - so if you're looking for a peaceful place to stay.. perhaps avoid.

It's a 20min walk to town or you can catch a tram from the bottom of the road - no idea where you get tickets from mind.

Like I said, it's cheap but far from nasty.

Unique Quality: It's cheap!
