Parque Campismo Monsanto

by written on August 25, 2002

Unique Quality: This camp-site is rather new. It has many spaces for caravans and motor-homes, which are basicly slabs of concrete that are leveled, with electricity. Above that (in numbers but also in hight) there is a large part of the forest available for those (like us) who camp with a tent. There are enough toilets and showers. Unfortunatly not everyone is always careful in using them, so some of the facilities or out of order and in the morning you might have to wait your turn. The repair-crew will come by every day, so the discomfort is always short. As on all the campsites we visited the sanitary is cleaned at least ones a day. Hot water can be in short suply.
On the site there is a swimming pool, grocery-store (no meat), travel-agent, bar, self-service restaurant, TV-room etc.

Directions: In the city-parc Monsanto. By car just follow the signs 'Monsanto' untill you see signs 'Parque Campismo'. You can't miss it!<br/>If you come by public transportation use bus 14 (from Rossio trainstation,
