Tsa Kwa Luten Lodge
First Nation Lodge
We enjoyed our 4 nights late September 2010. We had a sea front cabin with kichen, barbeque and hot tub. We cannot really comment on the main hotel facilities because we were denied their use by our fellow inconsiderate guests.
On the first evening we were advised not to use the restaurant until after 7:30 as a large party had booked in (rumoured to be 79 strong). Fair enough but then this group called "The Circle Of Love " set up for a singing session with full amplified back-up and whooping and hollering from the delegates until 9:30pm. We could not hear our server and had to point to the menu to give our order. We could not speak to each other or the people on the next table without shouting.
At breakfast we could not immediately get a table but whilst we waited the percussionist stated to practice his drum rolls and symbol clashes again amplified. The Circle Of Love obviously excluded their fellow guests from their loving.
We gave up then all contact with the main hotel. We purchased groceries and self catered from then on.
I am sure this would be a great hotel (in a great location) but not if you have to share it with The Circle Of Love. We met individual delegates and they seemed nice people but the organisers need to think abourt their obligations to the rest of society.I think the hotel should have warned us about this remembering we had booked the accommodation in October 2009.
Unique Quality: Great views across the narrows to Cambell River.
