Romantic resort

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on December 27, 2015

This was one of my favorite resorts of all time .. this all adult resort focused on romance and pampering us. Like at the pool they came over and inquired if we prefer shade .. brought a umbrella over us. At the pool they kept coming by offering us drinks and snacks.
This is upscale all inclusive and since it's won several awards And been voted as one of the best for foodies the cost has increased. But beyond the food and upscale alcohol.
This secrets maroma also has the best beach in the area. It's not a tiny boutique resort yet not huge and hard to get around. I dare say it's the perfect size. The service was exceptional. It was more relaxing and romantic ... than wild party spot.
When in the area we make a point to go visit the monkey reserve called the jungle place ... u get in the cage with monkeys and it's amazing. But make those reservations way ahead. They book up. It's pricy and can be tricky to find way to get there. Worth it.
They do offer excursion to town for shopping abd snorkeling trips at extra cost. The snorkeling is ok but not the best. U should tip on excursions.
Enjpyed walking the beach .. felt safe.

Unique Quality: The entertainment here was the the best we have ever experienced

Romantic and treated like royalty

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on December 27, 2015

Resort between Cacun and Playa Del carmen .It was a fairly small resort so easy to get around ... it won awards for Romance and treated like royalty. Our first adult only resort and boy does it spoil you. The entertainment was the best we have ever had at a resort and it's what we measure other resorts by .. but so far others have fell short.

Great food, service, gorgeous beaches. felt safe walking down the beach .. but mostly relaxed there at the resort. Did a excursion snorkeling and to Tulum and to keynotes. Also went to see the monkeys at Jungle Place.
