Pousada Vale del Sol: Quiet place, though 700 mts from the beach
You'll get an apartment with 1 or 2 bedrooms, including breakfast. The apartments have a kitchen so you don't have to eat out every day.
Maid service is included too. Towels are changed every day. The rooms have TV (no cable so just 5 channels in Portuguese!), security box and air-conditioning.
The "pousada" has: outdoor and indoor swimming pools, tennis court, football pitch, sauna and bar.
As it is located away from the beach and main street, the only sound you hear at night is the toads.
It takes a 15-minute walk to get to downtown or to Quatro Ilhas beach.
I think this is a good place for families, but rather pricey for young people as we do not need all those facilities to have a good time or to feel comfortable, and most of all: you won't use them! only the sauna on a rainy day.
The best thing to do is to get to Bombinhas without having a reservation and find an apartment there. Believe me, there are signs everywhere! They say "aluga-se", meaning "for rent". And of course you'll get better prices. Any apartment for 4 people is around 100 reales (30 dollars). I payed 200 reales for this place!!!

Pousada Villa Paradiso: Best nature hotel in town
Simply breathtaking view from any of the huts you get by staying in the "pousada".
Located right between the ship harbor in Bombinhas and the main beach, you can simply relax in the jacuzzis or in the japanese ofuros found all over the decks.
Almost everything one can expect from a beach resort: sofisticated acomodations and service in a simple beach atmosphere, greate view, lots of pools and near the town centre.
