Inside the The Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion (Amharic: ርዕሰ አድባራት ቅድስተ ቅዱሳን ድንግል ማሪያም ፅዮን), you will see a stand with a decorative cloth cover. 2 men will motion you over and ask if you would like to see the leather Bible. It is written in the ancient Ge'ez, the language used by Priests in Ethiopia. The Bible is probably more than 500 years old and its amazing drawings are drawn onto leather. There are even burn marks left from priests studying the ancient text by candlelight. Page after page will be flipped for you. You can even take photos with out a flash.
As the men finish they will then ask for money! Right inside the Church !
It is worthwhile to see. Just do not give them more than 10 Birr. No more.

King Ezana`s Park is an ancient site in the middle of town. Its fenced off and you need to show the entrance ticket to be allowed in. There is a tablet that is here since the 4th century.
It’s a commons place to celebrate a wedding but its nothing special in my opinion.
King Basen`s tomb was to me a bit disappointing and more looking like a simple hole in the ground than a grave.
