Engaging with Rothschild's Giraffes at Giraffe Centre

The Giraffe Centre offers a unique opportunity to connect with one of the world's most endangered giraffe species. Founded in 1979 by Jock Leslie-Melville and his wife, the center aims to conserve and rehabilitate Rothschild’s giraffes, raising awareness in a picturesque environment.

Strategically located in Lang'ata, about 20 kilometers from Nairobi, this center encompasses a 94-acre nature park, where visitors can hand-feed, observe, and interact with giraffes from a raised platform. The initiative has successfully increased the wild population from fewer than 120 to over 300 Rothschild's giraffes, with some released into national parks.
