    Ebony: Dine with a view

I've added this under Indian, but they also offer Parsee, Thai and International food.
The food is ok, but the main reason to go there is the view.

The restaurant is located at the 13th floor with a balcony on which one can dine and have a view over the city.

If you want to dine here and sit outside, make sure you have a reservation as otherwise you have a risk that there is no room (and mention that you want a balcony table).

On cold evenings you might want to bring a sweater or so. On this height there is more wind than at the ground and although there is some shielding it is noticeable, especially later in the evening.

    No picture. Sorry.

    Address: 84, M.G. Road, Bangalore

Directions: The restaurant is in Barton Centre.
You'll need to take the elevator to the 13th floor and walk the corridor until the end.
The elevator might be a little bit hard to find, but just ask around (or see where others are going).

It is on the 13th floor of Hotel Ivory Tower, I know this does not sound very high, but it is beautiful view nonetheless. Weather in Bangalore is quite pleasant most of the year, so it is great to sit outside.

Favorite Dish: They specialse in Parsee food - I don't know much but ask the waiters for help.

Directions: go up Brigade Road from M G Road, take the first right in.... or you can enter from Barton Centre at M G Road - this pic is of M G rd

    Ebony: Horrible experience

by kamaferro Written Jan 20, 2010

We were there Jan 2010 and were told the place was nice. We experienced the worst food ever, just prepared at last minute, because we arrived exactly when they were closing for lunch. Better to say "Sorry our kitchen is closed". Dirty dishes around. Not good impression at all. When we left they didn't even bother to say sorry. Avoid this place. When we asked Mr Prakash, the F & B Manager to get a compensation for this horrible experience he came up with excuses about payment with Amexco. They could refund some money back easily to show how much they care.
