Majestic Devgiri Fort

Devgiri Fort, also known as Daulatabad, is a hillside fort foundational to Aurangabad’s history and architecture.

This fort was constructed in the 1300s by the Yadava kings, later renamed in 1328 by Sultan Mohammed Tughlaq as a capital. It features concentric walls, bastions, and a network of tunnels, representing remarkable military engineering. The fort's Chand Minar, a 60m tower built in 1435, offers insight into its cultural significance.
