La Favela: Always a good time

by pakin Written May 17, 2015

La Favela is a good place to have a good night. It looks like a jungle.
The entry is a glazed bridge with lots of typical plants around.
The first room is all in wood, there are two bars with a big dancefloor.
If you go outside this room, you will find an other bar with lots of plants everywhere.
Then, you can take the other little bridge in wood and you will find an other room all in wood with a bar and a dancefloor also. Even the toilets are awesome and typical.
It's a little bit expensive, for example the bintang costs IDR 50k but you haven't charges. If you want a glass of Whiskey, Rum, Vodka.. it will be IDR 100k.
There are always lots of people but you can speak with them, and all of them are really nice and they come from differents country so they can tell you their experience in Bali, where you can go and so on. Everybody knows La Favela and everybody loves this place.

Dress Code: You can come at this place as you like, there isn't a dress code. People doesn't care about the clothes.

  • CP Royal Steakhouse: Cool Bar in Ubud

    by stephanie_mee Written Sep 28, 2011

This place is really cool. By day it's got a really chill outdoor dining pavilion with rice field views, and super comfy cushioned gazebos. The food is excellent, great mix of Indonesian and Western classics, and tons of class.

By night, CP becomes a happening nightclub and lounge with live bands almost every night, super friendly staff who like to joke around with the customers, a pool table, huge cocktail menu and lots of charismatic locals, expats and tourists to chat with or get down on the dance floor. And it's one of the only places in Ubud that stays open late and serves food all night, so great if you're hungry after midnight, or can't sleep and want some social action.

    Dress Code: Super casual

    Address: Jalan Monkey Forest, Ubud

Directions: Turn into the alleyway beside Lobong Cafe and head to the very end. Walk through the stone gateway and you'll enter CP. Outdoor pavilion is to the left and the nightclub is to the right.

Ku De Ta: Just go and drink your hearts out!

    by brigitte_lee Written Jun 18, 2011

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Ku De Ta is just a place to visit when you get around Bali. Whether you are a single traveler or in a group, it's just nice to have a cozy dinner & drink along the soaring waves.

Atmosphere is superb. Meals are quite expensive but this is a bit high-end so to speak. But every cent is actually worth it - so why not splurge once in a while and enjoy!

Hard Rock Cafe: Chillax at Night

by Strikinsmile Written Mar 28, 2011

I love this place. The bartenders, waiters and waitresses are so friendly that they don't just serve you with a smile. They strike a friendly conversation with you. I was here for some drinks with a friend on our first night in Bali. After dinner, we headed straight to the Rock Shop to buy some souvenirs from this beautiful island. Got me a Hard Rock Bali shirt.

At 9pm, we were done with shopping so we headed to the second floor for some drinks. The place was not crowded on a Saturday night; there were tourists like us who were having dinner and drinks with their loved ones and friends. You can smoke at the bar if you want to.

They've got live bands playing at the strike of 11pm. What a good way to liven up the crowd and complete your night. Cheers!

Dress Code: As far as I know, there is no specific dress code. You just have to be decent. As this is located near or quite accessible to the beach, it's perfectly fine to come in shorts and tank tops, sneakers or flipflops. As long as you're dressed to have fun, go to Hard Rock.

Sang Spa (Ubud): Sang Spa (Ubud)

by imstress Updated Aug 4, 2009

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Sang Spa provide affordable massage with excellent services. I was in Ubud for three days and visit SANg Spa every evening for different body massage and manicure.

Do remember to call in advance to make your booking as they are very popular. We did a traditional Balinese massage for an hour and paid 70,000 RP on the 1st evening. The next day, I was eager for more massage and went for the Combination Massage which lasted for 1hr30 mins for 100,000 RP.

On the last day, I had my manicure done for 40,000 RP. Then I did a Combination massage and followed by a Body Mask (mud mask). Then I get to soak in a bathtub full of flowers. All these services for 130,000 RP for 2hrs.

They even drop us off at our hotel when we didn’t have any transport on the 1st night.

    Skybar garden Kuta: partying

by exoticorchidhunter Written Sep 1, 2008

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Kuta is the centre for young people's partying and nightlife. The Skybar garden is a throbing thumping music den, currently being expanded, that offers various level of drinking, eating and social interaction.

From the top floor and balconies you can chill with a cocktail or cold beer, relax or dance to the music and watch the pretty little things floating around with smiles a mile wide.

Music blasts out into the early hours and crowds trail froom one venue to another, the Skybar being no different.

Small and beautiful, just as the girls that frequent the premises will welcome loney males looking for company, its the eyes and ears of Bali for someone looking for more than just a holiday.

Dress Code: Relaxed, casual, come as you want...

Address: Sky garden is in the main drag, legian Road, Kuta

Directions: Follow the hill down to the intersection from the memorial of the bombing.

Hard Rock Cafe: A night for some live music

by cokes Written Aug 14, 2006

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The hard rock cafe in Kuta is quiet nice as well. At the entrance you got to choose a drink before you enter and then pay the entrance fee which I think its IDR 40 000. When you get there just give your slip to the waiter there and they`ll bring you your drink. There is a DJ that plays music there until the live band arrives. Its quiet a nice place to dance and relax and just enjoy the live music.

Dress Code: Casual will be just right.

Directions: Its right opposite Kuta beach close to the Pizza Hut

    Legian Street: Disco-Tek

by cokes Updated Aug 14, 2006

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

If you looking for a night clubs you can go to Legian street. There is many night clubs and the night life is good. Its situated right next to Kuta so if you in the Kuta area be sure to take a walk there or just take a taxi. You can just ask any driver for the disco-tek in Legian street and they all know where it is.

Dress Code: Not that strict on dresscode. I would say a jeans and t-shirt should be fine.
