Mendut Temple & Monastery

Located in Central Java, this ancient temple dates back to the 9th century, founded during the Sailendra Dynasty. Mendut Temple is recognized for its monumental statue of Buddha, which stands 3 meters tall and showcases traditional Javanese Buddhist architecture.

It lies approximately 3.5 kilometers east of Borobudur, forming part of a significant spiritual trio along with Pawon Temple.
