Rich History at Royal Palace Museum
Royal Palace Museum, established in 1976, is a testament to pre-Communist Laos's regal past. Housed in a former king's residence built in 1904, it exhibits the life and times of King Sisavang Vong and the royal family.
With French Beaux-Arts architectural influences, the museum features preserved royal quarters from when King Sisavang Vong's son was held by Pathet Lao. Unique displays include the Royal Palace Car Collection, and the renowned Pha Bang Buddha.
