by victorwkf Updated Oct 6, 2006

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

There is a big indoor theme park at the First World Hotel which includes many games and rides, plus shopping, food etc. This is a very colourful and lively place which you will not miss when you are at Genting Highlands. I will introduce the various rides and games at the indoor theme park at my other tips at this section, so do check them out :) More photos are at the travelogue section of this VT page. The price for both the indoor and outdoor theme park rides (unlimited no. of rides) are $49 ringgit for adult and $33 ringgit for children. More details are at the website below.

    First World Indoor Theme Park

by yipsufen Updated Apr 1, 2006

The latest star attraction in Genting, the First World Plaza offers a larger than life experience in more ways than one. It incorporates 500,000 square feet of indoor theme park (see travel tips), shopping centre and gourmet paradise for a unique experience found nowhere else.

In this mega complex, you will discover the sights and sounds of the world's most fascinating cities. Under the cloud-studded roof are the shimmering canals of Venice, the bustling hubs of Times Square and Universal Walk and the fashionable districts of Champ Elysses, London and Genting Walk.

Enjoy a whirlwind journey around the world and come face-to-face with Big Ben, the Statue of Liberty, Malaysian's very own Petronas Twin Towers and more.

Some attractions in First World Theme Park are Euro Express, Motion Master, X-pedition wall sports climbing & Sky Venture.

    Day Pass for adult: RM24
    Day Pass for child: RM21

Outdoor Theme Park - Caterpillar Monorail Ride

by yipsufen Updated Mar 31, 2006

    2 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

A slow and scenic tour of the lake and the Outdoor Theme Park. You can either ride the monorail at First World Indoor Theme Park or at Outdoor Theme Park. RM4 per ride. Definitely worth your bucks as the monorail is crawling so slow. Good for taking aerial video shot of the whole Genting infrastructure and landscape.

First World Plaza Indoor Theme Park - Rio Float

by yipsufen Updated Mar 25, 2006

Ride on the back of exotic giant dragons and other creatures from Fantasyland. It's a slow ride for the family. However, it also offers you a good vantage point to view Times Square from the top. Excellent for taking breathtaking shots at night. You will have a closer look at the Oscar Academy Award, Statue of Liberty, Superman, The Pavillion, etc.

RM4 per ride. You are not allowed to pick your gondola.

Directions: Level 2M. Take the escalator to the cinema. It's near to the cinema.

This is a ride in the outdoor themepark.A ride that provides some thrill but not too intense.Suitable for all ages including children who meet the height requirement of 107cm.Carrying 20 riders at a time and passing through the first world plaza, the riders would not have to wait so long for a ride.

At night when all the Outdoor Theme Park rides are stop operating and casino is not the thing for you, you may want to check out the Genting Bowl.

The 28-lane Genting Bowl bowling centre at First World Hotel in Genting is open for you and friends until late night. Come and bowl some pins down the alley.

First World Theme Park - Venice Gondola Ride

by yipsufen Written Nov 11, 2004

On a more romantic note, take the gondola ride with the sweet strains of a serenade in the air. It's a gondola ride pulled by pulley system. The mannequin standing on the gondola doesn't look right donning modern branded attire. They are merely for advertising purpose.
