    Around and about Kampar

    by abudabi40 Updated Nov 29, 2007

Favorite thing: Waterfalls, lakes, rivers and streams - Kampar has them all.

Within ten minutes drive out from your hotel in Kampar you can be fishing or having a Bar B Q or picnic beside a river, lake or waterfall.

An excellent time out for you and your family to relax and take things easy after your hard work schedule in the town or city.

Kampar really is the most central place for all these activities, relax and stay awhile................

    Fondest memory: Living there

nearby lake the Kampar river - Sungei Kampar nearby Sohom 20 mins from Kampar road to Cameron Highlands from Tapah

    Anglo-Chinese School

    by l_joo Written Jun 29, 2005

Favorite thing: Without reading the history, I am quite sure this school was built by the early settlers of this town or probably peoples migrated to this town, it was then ruled by the British, thus built such school and also with some churches around also built quite some while ago before independence of this country, if wrong, please correct me. There is another school not far from this school, is a Chinese-Private-School, for pure ancient Chinese study I guessed, obviously mixed of cultures.

    A Kampar General Tip

    by l_joo Written May 7, 2004

Favorite thing: Kampar was once the largest tin mines producing lots of tin and made lots of money. In the 80s the town almost forgotten by peoples due to no business. Nowadays this town comes back again when UTAR university started and the town is now in speedy development. I visited few times but did not stay long just stop for a meal and go without any photos.
