Travel Adaptors and Electronics Tips (3)

Bring Water Proof and Ultra Zoom cameras

Photo Equipment the best way to enjoy Singapore is to really have powerful compact ultra zoom cameras like the Nikon cool Pix 810 which has a 42X optical zoom or a Canon Powershot SX 40 with a 35X Optical zoom plus having an extra camera that is water proof and drop proof like an Olympus Tough 810 Series of a Panasonic Lumix Series. You need it to be able to zoom on far away shots of the singapore skyline or at the sentosa island or at the Universal Studios. and you better have 32 gigabyte SD and/ or Mini SD cards ready or the current 64 Gigabyte SD Cards if you are prolific at shooting pictures and videos like me hehehe plus bring extra SD or Mini SD cards at with waterproof covers and extra camera batteries as you would never know when you would run out of juice or memory space.

I don't use a Digital SLR because they are bulky and you cannot do any ultra zooming of places for the videos and pictures and you need to change the lens to be able to get an ultra zoom shot and the ultra zoom lens of DSLR's are very heavy!

Bring a Universal Adaptor

Miscellaneous Singapore uses a 220V/50Hz 3-pin socket platform. It will be helpful to bring a universal adaptor to make it easy for you to recharge your batteries.

In any case, all hotels have a 110-220V 2-pin shaver socket.

Money

Photo Equipment Remember to bring your travlers adaptor if you are coming form Europe or America.

Miscellaneous Money... that is all you need to pack with you. You can get everything in Singapore!!! I mean everything.... : )

If you don't wish to bring too much money - here is what you shld do. We have quite a tropical climate. If you can't stand the heat, do come prepare with some light (colour and material) long sleeve t-shirt. If you want to have a good tan, use sleeveless t shirt. End June to end August are our hottest months.

However, with the weather being unpredictable throughtout the world, it's quite hard to say. Normally, end Nov to mid Feb will be our wet season.. rain and more rain.

Mosquito repellent and all that jazz are easily purchase off the rack. If you are in the city, why wld you need that unless you are going for some campimg or jungle walk.
