Greyhound Café has a few branches in Bangkok, the one we go to is in the Siam Centre on the ground floor. The first time was with our Thai friends who shouted us dinner. They ordered and it was delicious, especially the deep fried marinated mini chickens wings in fish sauce, so tasty!
The menu is extensive with many Thai and International choices and it is quite an entertaining menu, the first page explains Greyhounds motto: “We love fashion, people watching, good food, art, travel, sitting and watching the world go by”.
The Café is nicely decorated with comfortable seating inside or outside. We actually went back there a few times as the food, prices and service was very good, plus it was a nice retreat from all the shopping we were surrounded by.
I love the Greyhound for its Thai-Italian fusion food which is very tasty and interesting. The black and white ambience is chic. Specials are written on a black board. Desserts are to die for so leave plenty of room.
There are many branches of this cafe - Siam Paragon, Emporium and Central Chidlom.
Favorite Dish Try the spaghetti with anchovies and Thai spices. Hot and scrumptious!
Greyhound Cafe is one of many Bangkok's high-so hangouts.
The branch I went to (I think there are three total) was in Villa Shopping Complex, Thong Lo 15
They waiters are dressed in designer's wear (In case you are totally clueless, Greyhound is a Thai designer label), generally do not speak and are hard to catch. It is a place to go for Thai celebrity sightings, as well as to experience the atmosphere of the style consious, uber-hip young Thais.
The food was good too, offering several western style dishes, in addition to Thai food, pasta, sandwiches.
The prices were reasonable, around THB200 per dish.
Favorite Dish A particularly interesting selection was a "turkey salad" from a seasonal menu. It was very spicy, but in a surpiringly refreshing way.
