Pesky Gnats and Flies

We arrived in Sydney during the Spring Season (October) on Liz's first trip. We noticed an unusual amount of flies and swarming gnats. According to some locals this is common place for this time of year. We managed to get through the trip with only a couple of bites but next time we will bring some bug repellent.

Bug Bites

My wife has had the pleasure of being bit not once but twice by a spider while sleeping. The first time it was a big bite on her nose(which swelled up something fierce) and the second was her eyelid(that totaled swelled shut). Both times we sought some treatment at a local pharmacy and were given pills and creams that helped out the situation. Since then she always carries a supply of pills, creams and ointments for such issues.

Be careful, you too may get caught by a crocodile.

At Taronga Park of course the crocodiles are behind glass so my getting caught was on camera not in the flesh. I needed to get closer to the glass to prevent the reflection.
