I'm sure there are bars and places to go at night, and of course there are restaurants. But we really enjoyed walking both in the city streets, and down on the beach. Our hotel was very near to the beach, across from where this photo was taken.
The Norfolk Pine trees had lights in them and with the sparkling ocean it all looked so lovely.
Napier's nightscene is pretty limited, and the majority of the locals prefer the gorgeous 'village' of Havelock North (approx. 15 mins drive away, near Hastings). Havelock North has a number of cafes, restaurants and bars and you'll be sure to find something that will appeal to while away the evening hours.
Directions: Follow the highway from Napier towards Hastings and watch out for signage to Havelock North. Very much follow your nose. Easy.Add to your Trip Planner
