    Arashi beach

by Twan Updated Oct 12, 2012

Arashi Beach is located north of Malmok Beach, at the edge of a lovely residential area. It skirts a barren lunar landscape and the winding road that leads up to the majestic California Lighthouse. This is a quiet narrow stretch of beach with makeshift huts and a large parking area. A favorite with locals, Arashi Beach boasts gentle currents and abundant underwater life, making it a perfect spot for snorkeling.

    Snorkel

by windsorgirl Written Feb 6, 2013

Aruba is a great place to snorkel. The waters are clear and shallow. Many places you can snorkel right from the beach. This is my preference, then we can stay as long as we want and get out of the water to warm up in the sun before heading back in. I could not believe the sheer numbers of fish that we were swimming with. There was also a good variety.

    is snorkeling a sport?

by vrage Updated May 24, 2003

I love snorkeling -but we tried a different sport called "snuba" it was like diving -but with the tanks floating above you so you are limited to 20 feet. we saw all the fish, plus eels, starfish, and a small octopus!

Equipment: Bring an underwater camera -because there is so much cool stuff.
