    We did not go into any museums except the one at El Yunque and the Fort, but we did pass by this one. It isn't actually a museum but is is an institution of the Government of Puerto Rico responsible for the establishment of the cultural policies required in order to study, preserve, promote, enrich, and diffuse the cultural values of Puerto Rico. Its headquarters are located at the site of the old colonial Spanish Welfare House in Old San Juan

    The Institute operates a number of museums throughout the island. They include:
