Parndorf - main cafeteria: food was good - flies are atrocious
I recently visited the Parndorf outlet shopping center and ate at the main cafeteria style food court. All the food we purchased that day was fresh and tasty. However, the entire eating area was inundated with large flies (the type usually found in barns). They literally swarmed the tables and patrons. We had to eat in such a hurry to avoid them landing on our plates that it certainly took away from any enjoyment of the food. This is disgusting and unsanitary to the point of being a health risk. Designer Outlet Parndorf: shop till you drop
The shopping-arcades are wide and the shops had been quite empty at 1 hour before closing-time on a wednesday. Customers actually have to get there by their own car, only on friday and saturday there is a bus from Vienna to Parndorf.
I am not very familiar with designer-labels, but recognized that almost all of the most famous labels seem to have their own shops there : take a look at their web-page below !
What to buy: When it is important for you to wear a certain lable on your clothings, these shops in the Designer-Outlet Parndorf make sense ! You might be happy to get a jacket for "just" 300 euros that is over 600 euros in other shops, BUT in case that you are used to pay just 59 euros for a jacket (like I normally do) it does not make sense to go there at all...
What to pay: Reductions are 50% and even more
In the designeroutlet Parndorf you will find
150 different shops with more than 600 different lables
it is open daily except sundays and holidays !!
Monday till Thursday: 09:30 till 07:00pm
Fridays : 09.30a.m. till 00.00p.m.
Saturdays from 09.00a.m. till 06.00p.m. !
CLOSED every Sunday and Holiday !Related to:

McArthur Glen: Worth a trip to make savings
McArthur Glen is an outlet with some 120 odd shops - mainly fashion outlets, but there are also several other shops. It sells a lot of last season's clothes - i.e. perfectly wearable but without the full price tag. Unless you come by car, you'll of course be restricted to buying what you can carry - it is a bit of a trek to the train station
What to buy: Whatever takes your fancy, although on past trips I have bought Benetton luggage, Ralph Lauren clothing, tableware, stuff for my flat.
What to pay: You can make considerable savings over the prices you would expect to pay in Vienna for the same merchandise that is not reduced.Add to your Trip Planner
