Majestic Charles Church Vienna
Charles Church Vienna, also known as Karlskirche, is a significant landmark built between 1716 and 1739, inspired by a vow made by Emperor Karl VI after the 1713 plague.
This Baroque cathedral features a massive elliptical copper dome reaching 72m and decorative elements by Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach and his son Joseph. Visitors can ascend the 32.5-meter high platform to view stunning frescoes by Johann Michael Rottmayr.
