In the fall you will find many beech-nuts in this area of Belgium. My husband likes them very much. I myself don't have the patience to peel them.

Kapellen Restaurants

  • Trattoria

Small restaurant with French/Mediterranean cuisine with 'world' influences. In other words: fusion.Kind staff. You need a little patience, though ... Long menu and lots of day suggestions on the blackboard. We haven't had the chance yet to order something from the menu as the day suggestions are always different and very good!

  • Kandinsky

Kandinsky consists of a 'grand cafe' and a restaurant. In the grand cafe you can have something to drink or eat a snack for lunch. The restaurant is specialized in seafood, mainly lobster but has a wide choice of other dishes on the menu.Small restaurant (38 couverts) with cozy atmosphere. What did we eat?Husband: green salad with lukewarm smoked...

  • Quick quick quick!

Want a quick dish for no money?Go to Quick - it's similar to McDonalds but only exists in Belgium, Luxemburg, Andorra and Morocco.Very cheap and well yeah - junkfood - so don't expect the most of it... :-)

  • If you like French food...

A really nice, but rather expensive restaurant. It's a really tiny restaurant, easy to miss when you're trying to find it ;-)It's tiny, but cosy, and even the chef de cuisine himself comes to your table to ask what you would like to eat.The food is without doubt delicious, French and incredibly yummy...!You do have to wait quite a long time before...
