My great uncle, (Rifleman) Ernest Elgar Gordon Miles of the London Regiment (London Irish Rifles)died on the 12th June 1917, age 17, and is buried in Chester Farm Cemetery. He also has a memorial plaque in Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square, London.
I have comforted by having seen both the grave and the church memorial.

Thank you Keith for your contribution.
Chester Farm Cemetery is located 5 kilometers south of Ieper town centre, on the Vaartstraat, a road leading from the Rijselseweg (N365) connecting Ieper to Armentieres.
There are 420 Commonwealth servicemen buried or commemorated in this cemetery. Seven of the burials are unidentified.
As soon as VT will have opened a new tip group "Centenary commemoration of WW I" it will be appreciated to post your comment in that new "Things to do" group.
