One of the places I enjoyed most in Brussells was visiting Mini Europe, on my first ever trip to Europe.
Sure, it rained non stop and the day was grey, but I had a great time with my friend.
Famous buildings from all over Europe are included, such as the Sacre Coeur church in Paris, and the leaning tower of Pisa.
Here is part of Mini Europe with the Atomium in the background.
At Bruparck, you can feel like a giant as you wander around "Mini-Europe". Tiny replicas of famous landmarks around the continent are presented in intricate detail - from Brussels' Grote Markt to the Parthenon in Athens! Looking back at these pictures from 1991, I realize how few of these landmarks I've seen in person - I have a lot of traveling to do!
Back then, admission was about US$10. Probably higher now. Also, don't get this confused (as I tend to in my memories) with the Hague's Madurodam. Same general concept.
Take a look at Mini-Europe if you are in the Brussels area. You can get a taste of all of Europe's treasures. Take some pictures and show your friends, sometimes they will believe you were actually at all these places in Europe, my friend did.
This is an impressive collection of models representing many of Europe's most famous places. Here are the Acropolis, the Eiffel Tower, Brandenburg Gate, St Mark's Square, and many more places.
We were regulars here when I lived in Brussels, my little son loved it at the time.
It's a minature world of well known monuments, landscapes of the various countries of Europe.
This park, close to the Atomium, is a miniture version of the famous landmarks of europe. not expensive to enter, we spent a good two hours looking around.
Well , I had to have a slice of London in there! The park has plenty of restaurants and is easy to reach from Bussels centre by public transport.
This is part of the Brupark theme park. It contains some of Europes most memorable landmarks reproduced
At the foot of the Atomium is Mini Europe a collection of 350 models of well konwn European sights, see which ones you recognise. Also in the Brupark area is a water theme park and an IMAX cinema.
No time to visit all Europe? Come to this mini europe then :D
Quite old, i think the miniature in Modurodam in Holland is prettier.
Admission fee : EUR 11.70
