Club Amor: Latin dancing seems a craze
Hidden at an intersection underpass is Club Amor. It was a 5 cover, but as soon as they realised we were foreiners we got comped. Once inside it was loud and packed. The theme is Salsa and the crowd was mainly older University students to mid-twenties type. Alot of women out with friends for a good time. They club had hired dancers who were very talented and encouraged the men massive to get up on the varied stages and dance with them. Alot of fun. Be a gentleman, there were a few hard nosed chaps scattered about. The drinks were cheap and the service was quick. The had Corona in large tubs with ice. Club was open until 4 am, and most stayed until the end.
Dress Code: Dress code was relaxed, no face control or anything. Most dressed smart though and darker colours prevailed. Women were dressed well, mostly weaing dresses to help with the effect while dancing salsa.Add to your Trip Planner

If you get the chance try the Bulgarian wine tasting night - we sampled 4 reds and 4 whites during the course of a meal and were given the history and culture of each - only wish I could remeber all their names but but the end of the evening it was a bit of a blur...Add to your Trip Planner

The Bulgarians like to party and drink, so there are many places to go and have fun.
There are bars with top 50 music, with local music (if so, make sure you participate in the traditional bulgarian dances, it ain't too hard and the people will love your effort.) With rock music, with live music (bulgaria has soem good live bands, check out D2, or Poduena blues band)Add to your Trip Planner

If you are in Sofia on a Tuesday night and are into Hip-Hop, R&B, you can head to the Maria Luisa outdoor pool complex located in the big park in Central Sofia for the 'Cherno Party' as it is called in Bulgarian. At least this was the case in the summer of 2001. The crowd can be somewhat young, depending on the night. And bring your bathing-suit! You can also head there during the day to escape the heat!

La Bibliotekata (The Library)....
La Bibliotekata (The Library). There is a pub located on the side entrance of the building and can be pretty good depending on the night. It usually has live music! Part of it also serves as an internet cafe, but if you go just to check your email in the evening, you will have to pay the cover charge!
Good live music.
Laid back atmosphere

There are many places to go at night at Golden Sands. Most visited and cool club is Disco club 'Jamaica'. Free entry and good music. You can dance all night long and you won't be able to get out of there, because the atmosphere is really friendly. You can meet different people there, and DJ starts every party with greetings to different nations. You can find bulgarian, russian, ukranian, danish, english, people from Israel, Finland, Norway, Ireland, Germany and so on! Drinks are not expensive. And what I like is its situation. Club stands on the beach, in the sand, so you can swim at any time and many people do like that! There are some clubs yet. 'Bonkers', 'Malibu','Amazonia',but the best is 'Jamaica'.
As I told this place is cool, because it is situated on the beach. You can go on the pierce and listen to the sound of the sea. And behind you will hear modern and new dance hits and old remixed songs.
Dress Code: Everybody comes dressed in what he want. All dress types you can find there. But most often people dress some southern clothes, open topics.Add to your Trip Planner

The nightlife is at all of the hotel bars basically and it is very English orientated which was a little bit of a disappointment but the evenings are a little blurry to say the least!
