Chifte Banya is an old Turkish bath built in the 16th century. It is called "chifte", which means "couple" since it comprises two bath departments - one for men and one for women.
It is worth noticing the beautiful masons work at the outside.

It is a declared monument of culture of local significance. It has been restored for the European month of culture in Plovdiv and different cultural activities such as expositions, symposiums and etc. have been held. The building is going to be transformed into the City Cultural Centre.
