A Testament to Faith: Church of Gospe van Grada

The Church of Gospe van Grada, or 'Our Lady Out of Town', has deep historical roots dating back to its establishment in 1452 on the site of a medieval cemetery.

Originally a small church dedicated to Sts. Cosmas and Damian, it underwent significant transformations after the Parish of Varos was created in 1604. A new stone structure was completed in 1740, complemented by a bell tower linked to the church by a small bridge. The church's setting was once surrounded by a public cemetery, abandoned in 1828.
