Island of Pag Private Tour from Zadar
"The town of Pag has a rich offer of the ancient monuments culinary delights and an entirely different nature with magically beautiful stone scenery. At first glance the Island of Pag is a rough stone made edged with sky-blue sea and placed under the wing of the Velebit Mountain. It is often called ""Island of Rock "" or ""Lunar Island"" because its surface has a somewhat intimidating appearance with a stone white from gale rugged in so many forms that only nature can create that occupies even 86 percent of the island's surface. The island of Pag is known as one of the sunniest islands in the Adriatic

Walking Tips (8)

Walking paths

The area around the Upper Lakes is pretty steep, so the paths are. Do not rush here and take you time because otherwise you'll lost your breath. However, most of the visitors are breathless here watching the miracolous beauty created by the nature itself.

Walking paths

The natural barriere in between Kaludjerovac and Novakovica brod lakes is covered by the wooden path. There are no artificial materials in the park at all, everything you see around is provided and built by the natural resources only.
The pictures showing walking path from above, I took them from the upper trail near by Bear Cave spot, except for the last one which showing the same path from the ground level.

Walking paths

Sometimes you'll find yourself in front of the crowd coming from the opposite direction. It is better let them pass through because the wooden paths are pretty narrow, otherwise, you can drop in the water which might be cold. Most of visitors are very kind and friendly but you never know.
All my pictures here displaying walking paths in the cluster of the upper lakes.

This is Golubnjaca Cave, so called, Bear Cave which is situated nearby Gavanovac Lake. You can climb up and explore it because there are no bears here anymore, although this species still live in the area of the National Park.

Walking paths

Sometimes you might be doubtful, which way to choose? Ther is no problem at all, all paths lead you in the right direction and you cannot be lost.
However, the paths around the Proscansko Lake, which is situated on the top of the Upper Lakes, are unmarked. Just keep yourself in the vicinity of the lake and you cannot be lost.
