U Kalicha Tips (5)

kalicha (at the chalice): beer and czech food

kalicha is a famous prague restaurant and pub that caters mainly to tourists. very good czech food and beer. in the evenings they offer live traditional czech music. the decor of the restaurant is fashioned after the WWI czech novel "the good solder svejk". a fun place to eat and drink in prague. this restaurant gets very crowded so reservations are recommended.

U Kalicha: A bit touristy but enjoyable

This was quite close to my hotel and I found it in the Dorling Kindersley Guide.

There are cartoons painted all over the walls and musicians periodically walk round amoung the diners.

The beer is served in huge glasses, and the food cerrtainly fills you up, and they even sell their own T shirt.

Favorite Dish I tried a beef dish with dumplings and my partner had a goose dish.
