Tranquility at Wallenstein Palace and Gardens

Situated in the heart of Malá Strana, Wallenstein Palace and Gardens serve as a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle. A creation of Duke Albrecht of Wallenstein in the 17th century, this baroque garden features a grand loggia that depicts scenes from the Trojan Wars.

Notable for its unique architecture and landscaped nature, the gardens include a grotto adorned with hidden animals and grotesque faces, alongside bronze statues of Greek gods. These replicas replace the originals taken by Swedish forces in 1648. An ornamental pond at the eastern end of the garden is home to large carp, and the Wallenstein Riding School hosts temporary art exhibitions.
