Alternative Tour Copenhagen
"Outside of the centre and away from the mainstream attractions you’ll find a very different Copenhagen: across the water to the East lies the self-declared Free State of Christiania and just south of the central train station the über-hip district of Vesterbro. This 2.5-hour tour is a story of two distinct neighborhoods one known for its green-light district the other for its red-light district each with a fascinating history bound together by their vibrant diversity and uncompromising counter-culture. Despite international fame both places retain an edgy sense of freedom creativity

Le Le: The Best Vietnamese Food Outside Vietnam

Banh mi chinh was one of my favourite meals when I lived in Hanoi, Vietnam. It's as simple as it is ingenious: a baguette, some fresh herbs and lettuce, scrambled eggs and fresh chili. I always ate it at a small food stall at Hanoi's National University and never tired of it. Now, more than 10 years later - 10 long years without any banh mi - I came across Banh Mi Daily in Copenhagen's market hall. Despite all the other mouth-watering dishes on offer in the stalls around, it was clear that I would go for some great Vietnamese food here. It was easily the best Vietnamese food I've had in years, and maybe even the best banh mi I've ever eaten. The staff recommended a lemongrass beef banh mi which was freshly prepared on site. A crisp baguette, some spicy beef, lots of coriander, some grated carrots - and a very happy King_Golo! So if you yearn for some delicious Asian food or just want to grab a good sandwich when in Copenhagen, this is the place to be! Banh Mi Daily is operated by LêLê, a Danish-Vietnamese chain of a few Vietnamese restaurants, founded by boat people from Vietnam.

Favorite Dish I tried the Lemongrass Beef Banh Mi and the Spicy Fried Eggs Banh Mi, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The best Vietnamese food outside Vietnam - full stop.

Le Le: Vietnamese Restaurant

This vietnamese restaurant has a good comfortable and varying sitting arrangement. Book ahead if you prefer to be seated by the window or with a street view.

With a little more expensive prices than the average, the restaurant offers some really good dishes mostly served with rice noodles and vietnamese bread.

Enjoy dishes with chop sticks. The waiters will brief you how to eat.

Look through the pictures what we have eaten. The ginger-orange drink was great!

Recommended.
