The West End Gourmet Tour in Copenhagen

See life as it is lived in the very center of Copenhagen and discuss the many changes the area has undergone from being the red light district to becoming the most enjoyable youthful and alternative area. Along the way you will see the old cattle market the red light district

Copenhagen Food Tour
"After meeting your guide near Frederiksborggade in central Copenhagen stroll around the city to learn about Danish cuisine and its gastronomic heritage. Throughout the past few decades Denmark gained quite a conservative reputation when it came to food. However its cuisine is experiencing a food revolution and many Copenhagen restaurants are replacing the heavy dishes of bygone decades with meals cooked from seasonal local ingredients that sing with clean and pared-down flavors. The best place to sample the new Nordic cuisine is of course in Copenhagen
From DKK750.00

Alternative Tour Copenhagen
"Outside of the centre and away from the mainstream attractions you’ll find a very different Copenhagen: across the water to the East lies the self-declared Free State of Christiania and just south of the central train station the über-hip district of Vesterbro. This 2.5-hour tour is a story of two distinct neighborhoods one known for its green-light district the other for its red-light district each with a fascinating history bound together by their vibrant diversity and uncompromising counter-culture. Despite international fame both places retain an edgy sense of freedom creativity

Nyhavn 17 Tips (4)

Nyhavn 17: Danish food in a scenic location.

Nyhavn 17 is situated in Nyhavn as the name suggest.
It serves traditional danish food and a few more international dishes.
This place, like just about all other places in Nyhavn is not the place to go for a cullinary sentation or for a bargain.
You basicly pay for the very scenic location.
The food is not bad, but fairly ordinary, but it´s a good place to meet up with people as it´s easy to find and the location is damn pretty.

Nyhavn 17: Great cheap smorgebrad (spelling??!!)

Apologies, was a while back-I think it was here at Nyhaven 17-: If you go down the steps into the basement, is a little sandwich shop-is the kitchen for the main restaurant-buy your sandwich here, you get 2 for less than £5 GBP. If it isn't in front of you, they will make it there and then.
Don't eat in the restaurant upstairs and pay through the nose (again!), sit out by the canal. Best cheap deal in the bustling tourinst centre of Copenhagen, and lovely too. Do yourself a favour, try the smoked mackerel, it is mind blowing wherever you go, including here!

Favorite Dish Smoked mackerel!

A famous affordable one at a good location

Nyhavn 17 is an old restaurant and located at Nyhavn. People who are aware of Danish kitchen, food is not that great but perhaps location makes this place something special to experience. Try the Danish-styled steak with potatoes. Price is average and moderately spacious interior.

'Nyhavn 17', Nyhavn,...

'Nyhavn 17', Nyhavn, København.
A very popular place, food and drinks served both inside an outside in the street. Typical danish food.

Favorite Dish Well its more like a Pub, but they serve food as well. My favorite lunch is 'Gammel dansk' (schnaps) and beer.
