Musee de la Creation Franche: A Unique Art Space

Opened in 1989 in Bègles, near Bordeaux, this museum was initiated by Noël Mamère and Gérard Sendrey. It became a municipal museum in 1996, showcasing the realms of art brut, popular art, and naive art.

Featuring a rich collection of 16,000 works, the museum is vibrant with activity, hosting 10 exhibitions each year, including the international collective exhibition 'Visions et Créations Dissidentes,' attracting collectors and enthusiasts to explore eight new creators annually. It also offers diverse peripheral events like debates, study days, and multidisciplinary animations while publishing the subscription-based journal 'Création Franche.'
