    Brasserie Hamiot: Moules and Frites

by Suet Written Feb 16, 2006

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This is really to give you an idea of how much moules and frites cost.

We paid 11.50 euros for that, you get the customary basket of fresh baguette to soak up the delicious juice and the chips were golden and delicious. True French Fries.

Carl and I had 25cl of Affligem pression, draught Belgian beer, nice and tasty, at 2.80 each and Madame had 1/2 a Vittel at 3.00. The total cost was 43.10 which was, I suppose a tad dear. I have had a three course meal in Tours for 10 euros. However, moules we wanted so moules we had and they were delicious!

Oh I forgot, we had them in cream and garlic, a particularly tasty lunch!

    Arriving by train

by MelanieBee Written May 27, 2005

If you arrive by train, there is at least a 20 minute walk to the beach. You can walk along the canal/river (gets a bit smelly) or alternatively you can walk to the bus depot and take a bus to the beachfront. You will need to ask for directions as there aren't any local are maps in the train station.

The bus will travel along the beachfront to the next town so you get the opportunity to see what's available.
